In this series of short installments, I intend to explore antisemitism in an accessible, straight-forward manner. I will cover topics such as what antisemitism is, where it came from within history, and how to deal with antisemitism online.

As with most things, the internet has radically changed what antisemitism looks like over the recent years. People hide behind a cartoon icon and a witty username. It allows them to connect with others with similar interests, whether this be baking, wild swimming, or antisemitism. 

Part II: Where does antisemitism come from?

We are quick to tell children that the Nazis were terrible and they hated Jews, but we often fail to explain to them that antisemitism is much, much bigger than the Nazis. We avoid their questions because we do not know how to properly answer them. So, most stop asking.

40% of Brits asked in a 2019 survey said they did not know what antisemitism means.  21% of Americans have reportedly never heard of the term, while 25% of those who had were not entirely sure what it meant. So, what is it?
